Innovation to market is an initiative that help Danish companies enter the market for innovative, sustainable solutions within construction.
Innovation to market provides a combination of financial suppor, technical and commercial counselling, and mentoring. The purpose is to reduce the customer's costs and risks. Thus, maturing the market for innovative solutions within construction as well as promoting growth, and a healthy, efficient and sustainable built environment.
Innovation to market has been initiated to alleviate the challenge that numerous new sustainable products for construction fail to go from idea to market. Consequently, they are never used repeatedly in the construction practice.
Innovation to market therefore focuses on the upscaling of markets and customers, so that new sustainable products are being used on concrete building projects and penetrate the market on a large scale – in Denmark as well as internationally.
Innovation to market is Realdania’s main innovation campaign targeted at companies in the built environment. Innovation to market runs from 2021 throuh 2023, and is an extension of the initiative which ran form 2018-2020.
There are allocated 25 million DKK for the initiative. Smith Innovation serves as the secretary for Innovation to market.
How to apply
Innovation to market can be applied by companies with a Danish CVR number. More specifically, manufacturers, consultancy firms, and other companies who has developed new sustainable solutions for the construction industry.
Companies can apply via our online application form. Although the form is in Danish, applications can be written in English. For further details about applying, selection criteria, etc., we refer to our Danish specification.
